Around the World: Obama and the Nobel

Sharad Sagar is an Indian youth icon, a globally renowned entrepreneur and a 21st century leader whose words and work in the field of education and public service are inspiring a generation. President Barack Obama invited him to the White House, Forbes listed him on the global Forbes 30 under 30 List, the Rockefeller Foundation inducted him in the list of 100 Next Century Innovators, the Nobel Peace Center invited him to the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony and India’s leading media house Divya Bhaskar called him “the Vivekananda of 21st Century”.

Sharad is quoted globally by influential leaders, corporations and startups, universities and governments, newspapers and media houses and reaches over 10 million people annually. In 2015, Sharad became one of the youngest entrepreneurs to find a place in the Entrepreneurship Syllabus of the Michigan State University, one of the top 100 US universities. Later that year, he found a mention in Govt. of Taiwan’s Social Impact Agenda at the Social Enterprise World Forum in Milan, Italy, alongside Bill Drayton (the father of Social Entrepreneurship).

Followed by over 500,000 people on social media, Sharad was the one of the first and youngest CEOs to be verified on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Powering his vision of creating a 21st century leadership to fight 21st century challenges, Sharad has spoken globally and been invited to some of the world’s most prestigious and influential institutions including the United Nations, the World Bank, the White House, Harvard, IITs and IIMs.
